Who We Serve

OK4Youth is proud to serve the following groups of Cobb County children in dire need:

  • Haven Hearts – a group foster care home supported by the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) for girls ages 13 to 18

  • Turning Point – a coed group foster home ages 16 to 18 also supported by DFCS

  • Project Plus – a male group foster home ages 15 to 18

  • Franklin Road Weed & Seed – a coed group ages 13 to 19

  • Cobb County High Schools – coed freshmen through seniors

Haven Hearts, Turning Point and Project Plus meet for mentoring and planned life skills programs. The first Thursday of each month is our regularly scheduled training program for all groups. Community and business leaders inform the youth of the real opportunities awaiting them upon graduating high school and college. Mentors are also accessible to their kids for support, homework help, and as someone to talk with.

Franklin Road Weed & Seed, Boys & Girls Club, and the manager of a low-income apartment complex have created a Teen Center. Recognizing the immediate need for neighborhood children to have a wholesome place to spend free time, one apartment has become home for the community teen center. Our Staff and mentors provide programs and activities to inspire the youth.

Cobb County High School students from foster homes and low income families receive programs and educational assistance to help them complete their high school curriculum.

We invite you to learn more about how we interact with youth.
